Description The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Laboratory Assistant to join the Department of Psychiatry. Primary duties include: * Assisting with general laboratory maintenance of supplies and equipment * Assisting with the production of figures for posters, manuscripts, and scientific presentations * Conducting data analysis * Mouse behavioral testing * Other duties as assigned Please note: this position may convert to career Salary: 19.32/hr - $22.37/hr Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, or related field (preferred) Knowledge of basic foundational science such as general chemistry Comfort working with mice Experience working in a laboratory environment Ability to keep accurate and organized records Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
